Interpreting
The interpretation of data is how we understand it. When we interpret data we look to find patterns and averages. Using the data and representations collected from the Creating a Representation of Data page, look at the ages of students graph. Think and answer the following questions:
Data is often used to compare things and look at the variables that are provided. When presented with two variables, we are able to compare. For example, if we were looking at the colours of students’ eyes in our classroom that would be one variable. However, if we were to compare this with the other Year 6/7 Class we would be able to compare the results; looking at which class had more students with blue eyes, brown eyes, etc. |
